The 8 Days of Holy Week is a fantastic resource for anyone who has ever read the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John and were left feeling a bit confused and disoriented by their differing arrangements of the events and parables. Earl has taken on the painstaking task of "lining up the history" of the four gospels as it happened, chronologically. This makes it so easy and enjoyable for the reader to learn and gain insight from the varying authors as presented, side by side. He has also included pages of background information, geographical explanations with very informative (and essential) sidebar notes. This gives the reader a much clearer picture of the scriptures that makes sense in their context! The additional graphics are an enormous asset. My favorite aspect of reading this book is that, I am learning things about the gospels that I didn't even think to question or know there was a background story that even existed - and I've read the gospels many times over!! This by far, is my favorite bible study I've ever done before. It's all meat and potatoes here!!

About The Author

Earl C. David, Jr. has served local church congregation in Florida, Georgia and Tennessee for the past Forty nine years. He is an Ordained Elder of the United Methodist Church and a member of the Memphis Annual Conference. He is still active in ministry, now in his fourteenth year as Minister of Discipleship at the Collierville United Methodist Church, Collierville, Tennessee. He has made more than eighteen trips to the Holy Lands, and has done extensive reading of the literature. He has developed personal contact with Israeli, Palestinian, Greek, and Turkish Christian leaders. He describes himself as a Preacher-Teacher Story Teller. He has authored two books (soft cover), Jesus and the Gospel Timeline and The 8 Days of Holy Week. His first eBook is a paraphrase of the four Gospels titled The Gospel of Jesus Timeline Version, which is available online from your favorite eBook distributor. This book is red-letter and packed with graphics. His second eBook; is the revised second edition of Jesus and the Gospel Timeline. This volume contains expanded comments and many maps and pictures of the places being written about. The Shepherds, is his latest eBook publication. This is a short history of the Shepherd in Israel.
