About the author
Born in the 1950s in Southern California. Bob joined the US Navy while in his senior year of high school. He had hopes of sailing the high seas, exploring mystical lands, seeing exotic women and experiencing amazing adventures. You know, the sort of things young naïve men fantasize about.
In basic training at San Diego, Bob was the company RCPO. After boot camp Bob spent several months training in Tennessee during a sweltering summer. After training in Tennessee, he found himself deployed to the Mojave Desert, 150 miles from his home in California where he had been born and raised.
At first, he was disappointed with his duty station at the Naval Weapons Test Center; China Lake. He soon found that it was the perfect place for him, being the aviation nut that he was. After his time in the Navy Bob moved back to the San Jacinto Valley where he attended Mt. San Jacinto College for several years, while maintaining various jobs, before working 36 years at a Municipal Job from which he retired.
Bob has been married to his wife, Michelle for 35 years.
Bob is a published writer, poet, cartoonist, and photographer. He has had a lifelong love for live theatre, having covered every aspect of it from producing, directing, acting and all matter of back stage jobs. He is a playwright, painter, song writer, and dabbles at making short films. Bob enjoys traveling by train, plane and automobile, evident in these short stories.
This collection of stories is Roberts' first attempt at a book. He takes his aspiration for storytelling from the likes of classic writers Mark Twain, Robert Service, Will Rogers and is a great fan of contemporary writers like Carl Hiaasen.
