Sutured Clouds is a collection of poetry and prose about the journey of healing. It explores themes of sexuality, love, family trauma, and healing. Each poem moves through a cycle of pain, seeking help, and freedom within oneself. Sutured Clouds is divided into three sections, each with its singular theme. In the first section, "vapor," Thecla reflects on emotions of defeat, loneliness, and frustration. This segment aids the reader in comprehending the essence of suffering. In the second section, "droplets," the reader is invited to contemplate the changes and decisions that can lead to one's development. The final section is "clouds." This portion of the book offers inspiration and hope. It reminds us of the importance of reflection and acceptance.

Lissbette Thecla (she/her) has a bachelor's in early childhood studies and currently resides in Chicago, IL with her two kittens and one puppy. Born in Queens, New York of Dominican roots, Lissbette loves to cook and bake and in turn shares new recipes with her family. She is thrilled to unveil her first collection of poetry to book lovers around the world. Sutured Clouds deals with her personal struggles in life from sexuality, love, family trauma, and healing.
