You'll discover dozens of innovative and creative methods to make any presentation funnier. And the best part is how surprisingly easy they are to do! One chance to make that presentation memorable and powerful and significant. And no matter how good your presentation and preparation might be, if that message doesn't have some entertainment value to it, it will likely get lost in the multitude of distractions you're up against. And even if you do have the audience's undivided attention, if your talk doesn't have some entertainment value, your impact—at best—will be non-existent. And—at worst—it will mark you with the reputation as a really boring speaker. The easiest, most efficient, and most effective way to add entertainment value to any presentation is with humor. And that is exactly why the book "Speaking Of Funny" was written. With (actually more than) 77 Ways To Add Humor To Any Presentation, you will never have a shortage of strategies to get any audience laughing, anytime, anywhere. This innovative book details many easy ways to add customized and relevant and appropriate humor into your next presentation—humor that will not only have your audience laughing, but also listening and learning.
About the author
David Glickman has been a professional speaker and entertainer for over twenty five years and has presented several thousand programs. Before transitioning from "show business" to "business shows," he worked with everyone from The Beach Boys to Steve Martin and performed at private parties for singer Gloria Estefan and former President Jimmy Carter. He has appeared on "Evening At The Improv" and several other national television shows—including the national PBS special "Miami Comedy Fest", for which he also served as the Executive Producer. In the late 1990's, David moved full-time into professional speaking. Since that time he has been able to share lots of common sense business strategies with his corporate audiences. He specializes in customized business humor and is an expert in "finding what's funny" in the many Fortune 500 companies and national associations to whom he has spoken. In additional to his live programs, David also operates "Funnier Speeches", America's only writing service that specializes in "punching up" presentations with humor. While the core business remains punching up speeches for professional speakers, the service has grown to help anyone who will be standing in front of any audience, for any occasion. In 2011, David received the Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation. This is the highest earned designation awarded by the National Speakers Association, achieved by less than 10% of professional speakers. In 2016, David was awarded the Council of Peers Award for Excellence (CPAE) and inducted into the Speaker Hall of Fame. This is a lifetime award for speaking excellence and professionalism. To date, 232 men and women have received this honor. David makes his home in Tampa, Florida with his wife and two sons. They are also very funny.
