M.D. Spenser (born May 1, 1953) is the author of the highly popular 36-book Shivers series. The books are scary novels, each 120-125 pages long, aimed at readers from 8 to 14 years old. Spenser is also the author of the six-book Humano Morphs series. He is a dual U.S./UK citizen, originally from the United States. He lives now in Brussels with his family and his parrot.
