While living in the settlement she meets Indians, trappers, and other pioneers. She experiences jealousy for the first time and begins to realize what true freedom and love really mean. After leaving the colonies and arriving in Madaris, Adrianne faces new adventures: Pierre, a suiter she had no interest in; islanders who she enjoyed; and an unexpected reunion with her father and mother. After experiencing her freedom in the colonies, she defies her father's wishes with painful repercussions and was later kidnapped by Doro a second time resulting in tragic consequences. Follow Adrianne's journey from innocence to womanhood. You'll be glad you did.
Description
Sea Flower is a work of sensual romance fiction. Set in the 1700s, it's the story of Adrianne Winchester, a beautiful Englishwoman who is travelling by ship when they are attacked by pirates. Facing rape and possibly worse, she and her maid are rescued by the rough and rowdy crew of the Emerald Maid and her captain, Devin Tremayne. Almost instantly, there is electricity between Adrianne and Devin, but they are both fiercely proud, jealous, and single-minded, which both deepens their attraction and causes numerous rifts between them. They ultimately marry (under questionable circumstances) and he takes her to colonial Virginia, where he lives. There she learns new ways and ideas about society and herself. She struggles with the idea of being Devin's wife; her English upbringing and her fear of her father distort her idea of what it means to be a wife and a woman in love. They eventually leave Virginia for a Caribbean island where Devin's family is visiting and Adrianne's uncle resides and where it turns out her parents are also. She and Devin keep their marriage secret while they try to clear his name of wrongful charges, which leads to further dangers and jealousies.
About the author
My wife, Joyce Phillips was born 06-18-1952. She loved animals, elderly and her country. She was always interested in archeology and travel. She enjoyed reading books as well as writing them. This story was written as a sensual romance fiction many years before we met, but never published. It had been a lifelong dream to publish her work. Although this didn't happen in her lifetime, Joyce died in an auto accident 05-08-2021, the day before Mother's Day and less than 30 days before our 20th wedding anniversary and her next birthday. Publishing this book will be one of the last gifts I can give her. I pray that you will enjoy her creativity and adventure as much as I do.
