About The Author

Jane Faulkner is a literature librarian at the University of California, Santa Barbara and received a masters degree at UCLA with an emphasis in children's literature.  As a child she spent years at school in England and France, and she has traveled extensively across the world with family, friends, and by herself on solo adventure trips, but at heart she is a Californian. Jane has extensive collections of both California history books and vintage alphabet books, and after moving to Solvang in 2017 she saw a wonderful opportunity to combine both of these interests. "S is for Solvang: an ABC" is a fun, practical, easy way to introduce children and visitors to this unique town's diverse and fascinating history. A former competitive cyclist, these days Jane enjoys cycling in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley with her husband Kim.
