"Ruby's Treasure" is a unique blend of food, history and art combining delicious strawberry recipes, interesting histories and stunning handmade collages.  Disappointed to see local strawberry farms surrendering to property development, Liz Agnew was inspired to research the humble strawberry, celebrate its importance and raise appreciation not only of its taste but its symbolism throughout the world. There is something for everyone in this rare book which makes a great gift.

Ruby’s Treasure is filled only with strawberry recipes that are delicious, relatively simple and accompanied by a slice of strawberry trivia. It is my hope that these will inspire a large amount of cooking, curiosity and interesting conversation for all strawberry lovers. The illustrations are composed from old catalogues and magazines and reflect the strawberry in its cultural context.  Liz Agnew lives in Brisbane, a suburb of tropical Queensland.  Her passions include travel, the performing arts, participating in community events and poetry which create an endless swirl of imaginative ideas to fuel her writing.
