Overview

What made it possible for the Toltecs to achieve their unparalleled greatness? A figure exists who, since he is inextricably linked with Toltec life, may give us a clue. This is Quetzalcóatl. His historical reality seems to be established without doubt, since his qualities as leader are many times mentioned. Toltec Wisdom... Quetzalcóatl may be viewed as a metaphysical concept and spiritual icon as the feathered serpent symbolizing the union of opposites, the core of Toltec spirituality. Toltec spirituality and wisdom were anchored in shamanism. It was based on shamanic experiences. The Toltecs developed an enhanced state of awareness of this world and the Otherworld. They knew that sacred experiences did not occur in a building but out under the sky firmly rooted on the earth. Nature was their teacher and guide. Nature is animated, inspired, and charged with sacred energy.

Quetzalcóatl - The Returning Hero

The returning hero was known as Quetzalcóatl—the Morning Star, the Feathered Serpent. This imagery and knowledge reveal the blending or merging of spirit (feathers) and matter (serpent). Furthermore, there is vibrational magic within the name Quetzalcóatl, the Lord of the Four Winds.

Each of the returning heroes were always connected or named as the Morning Star. The returning hero was always associated with the planet Venus—the dawn star that follows the path of the sun and is symbolic of enlightenment. For centuries our ancestors have associated Venus with the culture hero, the bringer of peace and tranquility to a cycle previously dominated by chaos.

Description

The Four Winds: Quetzalcóatl's Toltec Sacred Roads Pathway.

Join Dr. Husfelt as he guides you on a quest through the Four Winds to awaken as an Hombre-Dios/Mujera-Dios. Quetzalcóatl's Toltec Sacred Roads Pathway is anchored in the transformational ability to "let go" or detach from the emotional and mental "enemies" such as stupidity, ignorance, arrogance, doubt, guilt, anger and fear. It is a journey to awaken our "light body." The pathway is a mandala where a journey is undertaken to awaken vision and to discover and embrace the divine spark within, to reestablish a connection with nature and the mysteries of this world and the Otherworld, and to become a "person of power"—a Quetzalcóatl.

The Nahua universe is a "participatory universe" characterized by a "relationship of compelling mutuality" or "interdependence" between humans and the universe. This is simply a consequence of the interrelatedness and oneness of all things. Not only does the universe causally affect humans, but humans causally affect the universe. Human actions promote cosmic harmony, balance, and purity, on the one hand, or cosmic disharmony, imbalance, and impurity, on the other.

In our corner of the universe, as vividly demonstrated by climate change, the earth directly affects us and we directly affect the earth through our thoughts, words, and actions. All is not lost. Return of Quetzalcóatl – The Morning Star will guide us in achieving harmony, balance, and purity not only for the earth but for each of us. The key to our Toltec Medicine Wheel, its knowledge and practice, is consistency. This is a lifetime journey of love and power. An adventure of self, staying balanced and in harmony on our “slippery earth,” results in our becoming a Quetzalcóatl – an Hombre-Dios/Mujera-Dios, a Divine Human.

Quetzalcóatl—the magician per excellence, “he who knows the secret of all enchantments,” initiated his people into the mysteries of interior life, thus freeing them from the unprotected solitude of pre-individual existence. Belief in the spiritual principle is the foundation of Quetzalcóatl’s religion and appears to be the very basis of the Nahuatl religion. In other words, the Toltec civilization was almost completely religious.

Quetzalcóatl – the Morning Star brought a “path and way” to supersede the bi-polar opposites of earth and heaven, spirit and matter. As the avatar and nagual of Quetzalcóatl, I am destined this lifetime to bring back Quetzalcóatl’s message and religion. This is Divine Humanity—the present incarnation of Quetzalcóatl’s Religion.
