This book is meant for the enjoyment of church friends, personal friends, and family. The Gatewood family provides these worship prayers to you with our best wishes in the hope they might assist you in your own spiritual journey, in times of belief and doubt, joys and sorrows.

Art Gatewood is a Presbyterian pastor whose ministry has stretched over forty years, mostly in South Carolina. He has served as youth pastor, college chaplain, small town solo pastor, and new church organizing pastor, in that order. In ten years of semi-retirement, Art has served several churches as interim pastor and interim associate pastor. In these part-time positions, original prayers have become a special focus. While the other clergy on staff do most of the preaching, Art channels most of his worship energies into preparation and leadership of original prayers. He enjoys grandkids, canoeing and kayaking, making pancakes and chili for his loved ones, and other writing projects. His wife and three grown children are pretty okay too.
