About the author
Dr Richard Blake has been practicing in Podiatry for the last 43 years. He specializes in biomechanics, and works in the field of sports medicine. He has worked at both the Center For Sports Medicine and the Orthopedic and Sports Institute both at Saint Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco. He has taught Podiatry in some aspect for each of these 43 years to the students at the present College of Podiatric Medicine in Oakland California. He has written 4 other books for Podiatry, given hundreds of lectures world-wide, and authored over 40 articles in the fields of Podiatry, sports medicine, and biomechanics. He is past president of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. Two Podiatrists from Spain: Carlos Martinez Sebastian and Alvaro Gomez Carrion have also contributed to this textbook.
