POWWOW KITCHEN is a unique publication celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Gathering of Nations Pow Wow. The Gathering of Nations Pow Wow takes place each April in Albuquerque New Mexico. The Native festival features over three thousand Native dancers, singers and other performers, along with the crowning of Miss Indian World, the Indian Traders Market, and the Traditional Horse and rider regalia Parade. Let us not forget the Native food court, featuring the best in native and traditional foods. The POWWOW KITCHEN brings to the kitchen environment great recipes, photographs by three fantastic photographers, the art of the Gathering of Nations and the sounds of Native music. POWWOW KITCHEN is written and composed by the Gathering of Nations Limited, Derek, Dr. Lita and Melonie Mathews.

Derek Mathews is the Founder and produces the Gathering of Nations powwow with Melonie and Dr. Lita Mathews. The Mathews family has written and composed the "Powwow Kitchen" to celebrate 40th anniversary Of North America's biggest powwow and Native American themed festival. The Gathering of Nations Powwow features over 3000 dancers, singers and other native performers along with over ninety thousand visitors each year.
