Overview
This book takes the reader through the creation of the ICU...Intensive Care Unit, from its inception in the classrooms and hallways of schools to the standard that "Every Student Will Complete Every Assignment". You will feel the passion and see a practical approach, created by teachers, of how to have students complete their assignments and create a healthy school culture focused on student learning and accountability. This is a great book to create thinking amongst all educators through staff, small group, or individual book studies as you grow learning, move away from poor educational grading practices that do not work, and create momentum for "Mastery Learning."

About the author
Working with children has been Danny’s passion since coaching primary-aged children at the local YMCA at age 19. He is a proven educational veteran, having shared his passion for teaching with students in multiple grade levels in Tennessee’s Wilson County School System over the past 31 years. Danny and his wife, Debbie (a high school guidance counselor), have three children: Kellie, Amy, and Zach. At his first presentation on the Power of ICU in 2007, his first session had about 40 attendees. The second session was so packed with teachers, supervisors, and principals that many were standing outside the door listening. A long line of people stayed after the session to ask questions and get his email address. The last person in line was Jayson Nave.
