Chris began her work of human outreach in the diplomatic service of the Peace Corps, joining the first waves of volunteers to bridge the gaps of cross-cultural understanding and education in developing countries. Chris Griscom's project, Human Potential and Global Responsibility, supports the power to find a greater purpose—encompassing new directions for the human spirit. The concept is to direct innate human qualities and attributes such as intuition, psychic awareness, and healing powers, towards global and earthly imbalances.
Chris incorporates her technologies of consciousness to further the process of healing our earth through her Global Warming and Conscious Solutions Initiatives, including Human-Nature Alliance: Eco SOS, Blue Sky Challenge, and her Global Rainforest Heritage Sites proposal.
Chris is a recipient of numerous international awards for her spiritual technologies and global endeavors, which include the International Swami Vivekanad World Peace Award, presented to her in Rajasthan, India by the Prahari Organization for Inspiration and Global Peace. She has been recognized many times by The Indian Board of Alternative Medicines based in Calcutta, India where the Board awarded Chris Griscom the Sewa Chakra Award: past recipients include the late Mother Teresa and the Dalai Lama. In addition, she has been awarded the International Healing Award for Excellence in a Lifetime of Service to Humanity, presented to her in Calcutta. She was the only woman and the only United States citizen to receive this award.
In the United States, Chris Griscom has been nominated for the prestigious Templeton Prize by a US. Senator and a U.S. Congressman. Contributing locally, Chris was instrumental in passing the Peace Memorial for the State of New Mexico.
Additionally, Chris Griscom is the first woman in the world to have given birth in the Sea, as detailed in her photographic book, "Ocean Born: Birth as Initiation."
