The author's intent is for her collection to be the catalyst to open dialogue amongst her readers to promote camaraderie and growth.

About the author

Barbara Davis is a mother first and an author second. Writing was always a cathartic experience for her. She would conjure up stories and poems to express how she felt and how she viewed the world. Over the years, she has accumulated a number of poems and short stories and often shares them with anyone and everyone who would read her work. After retiring with over 20 years in the U.S. Air Force in 2011, she decided it was time to gather a collection of her best poems and publish what is now known as “Pieces of Us".  Recently she has transitioned from poetry to short stories. Her goal is to utilize her imagination and creative flair to make her new novel come alive in engaging and entertaining ways. Barbara is also an adjunct professor and an aspiring motivational speaker.
