Overview
Don't have the money or the time to discover the world? Can't bear to be cooped up in an economy flight lasting more than an hour? No travel companion? If you want to explore the world of international travel without leaving home, this is the book for you. Let me be your guide to over 41 countries and six continents. Laugh, cry, meet fascinating people, try something new, and learn.
Description

Pack Your Bags is volume one and the first edition of what I hope will be my new series, A Nomadic Soul.

It encompasses 47 years of traveling to 41 countries on six continents. Blog links are available beginning in Egypt (2009) - allowing all readers to view every photo taken during each subsequent trip in the book.

The Coronavirus ground international travel to a halt, but I hope to begin work on volume two in 2022 and 2023, with trips to Jordan and Israel, Rwanda, Antarctica, an Arctic Expedition of Untamed Norway and Svalbard, and Scotland.

About the author
Travel is my passion. I love discovering obscure, exotic, foreign, far-flung places that capture and challenge all my senses. There must be interesting people, fascinating photography, mouth-watering local food and drink, and activity that keeps me engaged. I want to learn, laugh, cry, and appreciate the generosity of those who have little or nothing. I travel to become a better person and discover the world and all it may offer.

Great read for world travelers! I just finished reading Pack Your Bags and feel as if I’ve just traveled around the world with the author! I’ve had the opportunity over the years to travel throughout the U.S., Europe and Southeast Asia, but not until I read Barb’s stories, did I realize there is a world of difference in how individuals experience other countries and their cultures, people, food and drink. I’d like to say that I had a favorite chapter or story from the book, but there are too many to pick from – the rickshaw rides in Tibet, sailing around Cape Horn, and of course, the African safaris. And Barb’s completion of El Camino de Santiago following her knee replacement surgery should be an inspiration to anyone facing similar physical challenges! I’m not sure when I’ll be globetrotting again, but I know for sure that I will travel differently having read Pack Your Bags. Read more

Pack Your Bags I remember Barb from High School. She was ALWAYS ready for fun; for an adventure. Her book is an AWESOME testimony to her joy and empathy with those she meets along her journey. This book is an amazing peek into the spectacular journey that is Barb's life. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. ❤️ Read more
