Pack Your Bags is volume one and the first edition of what I hope will be my new series, A Nomadic Soul. It encompasses 47 years of traveling to 41 countries on six continents. Blog links are available beginning in Egypt (2009) - allowing all readers to view every photo taken during each subsequent trip in the book. The Coronavirus ground international travel to a halt, but I hope to begin work on volume two in 2022 and 2023, with trips to Jordan and Israel, Rwanda, Antarctica, an Arctic Expedition of Untamed Norway and Svalbard, and Scotland.

Travel is my passion—a way to become a better person and discover the world and all it may offer.

I am the oldest girl in a family of 12 children, and I needed to wander if I hoped to escape my siblings and parents. Early photos document me in the backyard wearing nothing but a diaper (if that) and gazing longingly at neighbors' hedges, roses, and woods - no doubt wondering what was beyond.

My father often asked me when I was going to remain in one place so he could write my address and phone number in his address book in ink rather than in pencil.

I love discovering obscure, exotic, foreign, far-flung places that capture and challenge all my senses. There must be interesting people, fascinating photography, mouth-watering local food and drink, and constant, engaging activity.

I want to learn, laugh, cry, and appreciate the generosity of those who have little or nothing.
