About the author

Emily (Emmy) Woosley is a graduate of Owensboro Senior High School and Western Kentucky University, where she majored in chemistry and minored in music performance. In May 2023 Emmy graduated with a Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University. There, she was awarded the prestigious Martin S. Geisel Leadership Award for Executive Education. For the past decade Emmy has worked as a quality assurance engineer for the explosives industry. Outside her professional life, Emmy is passionate about arts and community development. She has served on the board for several organizations including, the Through Sleet's Eyes Festival, Impact 100 NextGen, Theatre Workshop of Owensboro, Junior League of Owensboro, and The Wendell Ford Government Education Center.  In 2021, she participated in Leadership Owensboro and was awarded Member of the Year. She is the proud owner of an Old English sheepdog puppy named, Love. Together they enjoy long walks, road trips, and cheese. Emmy strives to make the world a little better each day and encourages everyone to Keep Smiling.

Jody Hulsey is an American author, coach, facilitator, and leadership development professional. Jody taps into his well of enthusiasm, gratitude, knowledge, and experience to help others identify and grow into the most empowering versions of themselves. Jody believes that leadership, done well, is one of the highest forms of community service, so he aids others in the art and science of leadership. He also enjoys designing and facilitating impactful learning journeys for both individuals and organizations. Jody is a Certified Professional in Talent Development and holds a Master's Degree in Strategic Leadership from Middle Tennessee State University with 15+ years of experience coaching and training in large corporations, non-profit organizations, and privately held companies. Globally, Jody is on a mission to improve the quality of leadership and to supply the world with products and services that help others spread positivity and good news.

Sarah Truman is a Kentucky artist who earned her Bachelors of Fine Arts in 2012 from the University of Louisville. She specializes in both private and corporate commissions and is the director and curator for a Fine Arts Ministry in her local church. Of Life: The Rollercoaster is the third children's book she has had the privilege to illustrate. From an early age, she was captivated by pictures and would draw and create stories. She feels very blessed to have had the opportunity to fulfill a childhood dream in adding the title of "illustrator" to her list of creative endeavors and wants every young artist to never give up on their dream.
