About The Author
D. Johnson, California mother of two, somehow knew as a child she would someday write her book. During her younger years, she wrote short stories for minor contests and company publications, receiving positive accolades, trying out her skills.
The youngest of four children, she was born and raised in a family with X-Linked Hypophosphatemia (XLH), a rare bone disease, allowing this author a keen understanding of the Western world of medicine.
Non-officially advocating for others with her disease, life suddenly presented itself with the events prompting the writing of Nonie's Star, a story of love, strength and tragedy that no family deserves to endure.
