Overview
Author, speaker, and broadcaster, Iowa-born Leona Choy graduated from Wheaton College in Illinois. With her late husband Ted she traveled over a dozen times to the People’s Republic of China to escort American tour groups, minister to Christians in China and to serve as an English teaching consultant. She and her husband engaged in mission, church, and educational work in Hong Kong, Singapore, China, and the United States. They co-founded Ambassadors For Christ, Inc., a campus ministry among Chinese university students and professionals in North America. She served with AFC for 25 years in administrative and editorial work. Instrumental in establishing WTRM-FM (Southern Light Gospel Music Network) in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia over 25 years ago, Leona continues to serve as president of the Board. She is the founder and editorial director of Golden Morning Publishing which she established with her son, Rick. She is the writer, editor, and collaborator of over 35 books and many foreign language editions. She lives in Winchester, Virginia and when she is not at her computer, four adult sons, ten grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren keep her busy.
