Miles Eyes This book has touched me in so many ways. Miles Eyes was such a heartwarming story not only for children but adults as well. After reading the book I asked Sadie to come and read to our preschool classes. She was so willing to do so. When she brought Miles along with her it was such a special moment, seeing the connection they both had with each other was an absolute joy to see. She and Miles were able to engage with all our students not only by Sadie's voice but with Miles Eyes. Our children have not stopped talking about Miles. When they see the book around school they point saying "thats Miles" others have been heard saying " thats Miles he talks to us with his eyes". After listening to the story and it's powerful message of inclusion Sadie gave them an activity to do. The children were so excited to show Miles their work and they could tell by his amazing eyes that he was excited too. This book is a must read for all! Read more

A Must Read for Families, Educators and Children Alike As both a Registered Behavior Technician and a special education teacher, I was truly moved by Miles’ Eyes. Sadie Zawisza has created something so special—through Miles’ story, she captures the beauty and depth of communication beyond words. The way Miles expresses himself through his eyes is not only heartwarming, but also a powerful reminder of the many ways children can connect, share, and inspire those around them. This book resonates deeply with me because it reflects the experiences of so many of my students and families. Sadie’s thoughtful writing and the sensitivity she brings to Miles’ journey inspire me both personally and professionally. It is rare to find a children’s book that so beautifully combines empathy, inclusivity, and hope in a way that children and adults alike can carry with them long after reading. I would highly recommend Miles’ Eyes to families, educators, and anyone who believes in celebrating every child’s unique voice. Sadie and Miles together remind us to look a little closer and listen a little differently—and in doing so, we can discover something truly extraordinary. Read more
