About the author

Julia Hultgren lives in Denver, CO with her daughter and dog. She was inspired to write this story on a sleepy morning, after one too many uppy songs. She hopes it will help kids in their journey to independent sleep – and encourage tired and loving parents. Her sleep-training survival tips include positive affirmations and leaning on your good friends (like Lizzy) for support.

Lizzy Harris resides in the enchanting town of Breckenridge, CO, with her loving husband and playful dog Stevie. The inspiration for this children’s book bloomed during the magical holiday season spent with her giggling nieces. Lizzy has always marveled at Julia’s boundless, and sometimes sleepy determination, and thought there was no better way to communicate that then with a story.
