M.I.A. and the Book of Damien

Now reunited with his friends, Alex embraces the world of weird in front of him. But they can't go home just yet- the problems in the forest are much bigger than they seem. The creatures here need their help. So just one more thing before they go back to their normal lives, right? They'll steal something that will help the creatures in need ward away the threat that looms above them. All goes well until they have the stolen item in their grasp. They can't go home now. Not while they're tangled in this web of deceit.

Alex, now reunited with Blu and Christian, begs to go home, but something bigger is afoot here and Blu just can't help but stay. The Queen reluctantly accepts Blu's foolish offer to help, tasking them to steal the Book of Damien from the Priest's mansion with the help of one of her generals. So off they go, adventuring and bonding together with their new friend. But, as they venture further into the Damien region than they ever have before, something just doesn't seem right. Upon opening the Book of Damien and witnessing its secrets, they're met with a dilemma. Not everything is as simple as it seems. Important people have been keeping secrets, and the decision they've made weighs heavy on their shoulders. With their plan now muddied... what can they do to help? Join Alex, Christian, and Blu on this fantasy adventure as they find out things aren't always as they seem.

Shawnee Morris is a 17-year-old artist, author, and illustrator. She lives in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas with her mother and grandmother in a 100-year-old rock cottage that she helped restore. Shawnee began weaving stories as a young child and drew characters to go with the stories. Her first book M.I.A. took 3 years to world build and very little time to write. Her first book was published when she was 16. She studied art privately with different art instructors and in high school. Shawnee is currently attending college for a degree in art.
