Janice Riley-Burt, MD has always had a passion for health and wellness. She is board-certified in Family Medicine, a certified fitness leader and aerobics instructor. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. Then completed the Surgery internship and Family Medicine residency programs at Morehouse School of Medicine and Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.
Dr. Riley-Burt founded Integrative Medical Doctors, PC. in 2019, where she provides a space for physicians to operate their private practices. She also works closely with her patients to help them achieve their goals of total body wellness and improve their skills for managing and maintaining optimal health.
During the 2020 pandemic, the Meals, Mediation and Movement Facebook group was created to encourage home-based, incremental lifestyle changes in order to optimize personal wellness. The success of the social media group in 2024 lead Dr. Riley-Burt's first publication, “Meals Meditation and Movement: 21 Day Devotional and Journal"
Dr. Riley-Burt is a member of the American Board of Family Medicine, American College of Lifestyle Medicine, and the American Academy of Family Medicine. She is past president of Tennessee Women in Medicine. She enjoys mentoring medical, dental, and PhD students as a part of the Meharry Medical College Alumni Mentorship Program.
She loves serving at church, spending time with her husband, her children, grandchildren, and their dog Beaux.
