About the author
Mr. Mitchener has extensive training and education in all aspects of criminal justice and law enforcement to include screening, triage and referral to corrections and prison systems, specifically targeting at-risk adults and youth. He has 12 years of providing supervision and oversight development for community-wide law enforcement programs, solving law enforcement system issues and ensuring policy.
Consistent with law enforcement outcome models and new initiatives. He has a vast knowledge of criminal justice and gang violence prevention.
Mr. Mitchener graduated from Needham B. Broughton High School in Raleigh, North Carolina. There he was an exceptional athlete who lettered in basketball. He was accepted into Allen University in Columbia, South Carolina where he studied Business Administration for a short time until after his encounter with Lem Barney decided that law enforcement was his calling instead.
Mr. Mitchener's training includes: Law Enforcement Training, VIP Security, Investigative Procedures/ Techniques, Outstanding Team Management Skills, Presentation/Report Preparation, Critical Problem Resolutions and State/Federal Regulation Knowledge.
Robert proves his commitment to youth through his active efforts of creating, designing, hosting and funding events, camps leadership initiatives and mentoring in the community. Robert knows that children with mentors are more confident and have fewer behavioral problems. Robert is very passionate in his goal to help youth recognize and comprehend their self-worth to position themselves for a better future.
