Overview
Make Your Point is ideal for anyone who needs to persuade, inspire, motivate, or teach. It’s an invaluable tool when it comes to making a presentation, having an impromptu elevator conversation, or running a meeting...Required reading for anyone who wants to be a better communicator.
Description
Make Your Point stands apart from other books on the topic because it is brief, practical, and fun to read -- a One Minute Manager for mastering the spoken word. Make Your Point features a unique and proven model for organizing any message, of any length and for any occasion. John A. Greco, former AT&T executive, is just one of thousands who swear by it. Greco says: "The Diamond works wonders. Once you have it down, you can use it to make your point at any time to anyone anywhere." Make Your Point is written by two streetwise communication consultants with a combined 35 years of executive speech coaching experience. Their clients include: Microsoft, IBM, Merrill Lynch, MasterCard, Heineken, and Wrigley. If Cool Hand Luke had read Make Your Point, he probably wouldn’t have uttered those famous words: “What we have here is a failure to communicate.”
About the author
Kevin Carroll grew up in a large Irish Catholic family where, to the best of his recollection, he was somewhere near the middle. As one of seven, Kevin learned early on that if you don’t make your point, somebody else will make it for you. After 17 years in the advertising business, Kevin quit and started his own consulting, speaking and training company. His client roster includes such blue chippers as IBM, Merrill Lynch, Unilever and Cisco Systems. Kevin works with companies around the world, helping businesspeople become first-rate communicators. He's written two other books: What's Your Hook and Think Outside Your Blocks. kevin@kevincarroll.com 203-226-6493 www.kevincarroll.com Bob Elliott started his career with large corporations including Pfizer, Cigna and Westinghouse. Interested in looking at corporate life from the outside, he became a communications consultant in 1982. Bob is proud of his relationships with America’s top companies like GE, MasterCard and Wal-Mart although at the drop of a hat he will talk about his work with Cindy Crawford and Jimmy Connors. speakcomm@aol.com
