About the author

As a young twenty-something involved in the fashion, music and health & fitness industry, Cynthia may have been an unlikely person to get involved in her community. Once exposed to local government through a Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Program, her passion blossomed. it was this passion that fueled her hands-on learning experience through service in her community on boards, commissions, city council, county commissioner elected positions, and service in city management that motivates her to share her story in hopes of sparking that flame in others desirous of making a positive difference in their communities. Cynthia currently serves in city management and is still active in music (song writer,  local bands, local praise and worship teams) and in the health and fitness industry.
