About the author
CLIFF MAKSUSHIMAT is an American writer. He spent his early years in a quaint town in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. After completing high school, he immigrated to the United States of America and settled in the City of Los Angeles, California, where he matriculated at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and received a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Health Promotion. He subsequently continued his education at California State University, Los Angeles, completing a Master of Science in Healthcare Management with Honors as well. However, the arts have always figured prominently in the author's life. During his early studies, he focused on the liberal arts, which supported forays into different artistic endeavors and culminated in his pursuit of acting, painting and writing professions. To date, Cliff is penning his fifth novel. His opera prima, The Captive Shadow of Americo Prakak, published in Spanish, has been well-received and garnered good reviews. In his second book, Magenta Obscura by the Cliff, which is his first book written in English, he continues to explore relationships in psychological depth, expounding upon themes of love, devotion and loyalty, but which, ultimately, may not be enough to avoid suffering, loneliness and heartbreak.
