About the author
Many refer to him as the “Listening Doctor,” although he calls himself the “Listening Student.” Rick Bommelje has more than thirty years of professional experience in leadership, management, and adult education. An award-winning teacher, he is a faculty member in the Department of Communication at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida and teaches courses on listening and leadership. The Princeton Review selected him as one of the top 300 college professors. Rick is a past president of the International Listening Association and was inducted into the Listening Hall of Fame. He works with a wide variety of organizations in helping people at all levels to be effective listening leaders. Rick co-authored the pioneering book 'Listening Leaders: The Ten Golden Rules to Listen, Lead and Succeed'
