With 36 years of marriage and a family of three children, including two boys and a girl, the author brings a wealth of life experience to "Learn, Let go and Live." Having earned a BS degree in Social Work with a minor in Psychology from Utah State University, the author dedicated 33 years to the Division of Child and Family Services, witnessing the diverse challenges individuals and families face. Throughout their career, the author worked extensively in assisting families overcome abuse, alcoholism, and drug dependency, as well as reuniting families torn apart by such difficulties. Passionate about community engagement, the author gave presentations and taught classes on topics like parenting skills, family dynamics, and conflict resolution. Retirement didn't mark the end of the author's commitment to helping others. They continued to serve as a Spiritual Counselor for Hospice, supporting individuals and families in the final stages of life. These experiences have showcased the remarkable strength and character people possess, even in the face of adversity. The author's life is a testament to the importance of resilience, growth, and the pursuit of positive transformation. Together with their wife, they enjoy exploring the beauty of the world through travel, camping, and adventures on their ATV. While sports have played a significant role, their passion now centers on pickleball—a testament to their spirit of embracing new experiences.
