Overview
As George Costanza pitched "Seinfeld" to all those TV execs as a "Show about nothing", so I'm pitching this book to you as a "Show about most everything I've been thinking about this past year". Ethics, morays, social trends, personal reflections and reminiscing, Corporate America, underdogs, dreams, visions, periodic regrets, heroes, progress, etc. It's just a whole medley of thoughts and writings that took about a year to corral and put together. Every time I read something, my brain gets stretched a bit and then orders me to start writing something. It tells me to not worry about making it too perfect, 'cause, your readers, given half a shot, will figure it out for themselves (eventually). It's fun to write, and it's fun to read. What's not to like? Anyway, one of my readers put it this way about my writings: " The writing itself is lively and engaging…and friendly…like having a serious, but comfortable conversation with an old friend around the kitchen table." Whatever, whether your starting to write a book, or starting to read one, it's always a kind of "shot in the dark" (and what a great movie that was!). In any case, remember: "Reading is fun-damental". Cheers!
Description
This book is full to the brim with my own personal research, observations and opinions. I was a Preacher for many years, so I have talked a lot in this life, but I have also listened intently over the years as many folks told me their stories, - some of which would often reveal their deepest fears, while others would serve to illustrate their most extravagant dreams. I'd would also confess that I do enjoy reading as much as time allows me, which seems to always serve to "flat out" widen the parameters of my imagination. Now, I am not under any kind of delusion that you have experienced this life in the same way that I have, or that you think of things the way that I do, or that you observe the things of this world exactly as I do. You got your thoughts, and I've got mine, - and for better or worse, many of mine are laid out here in these pages. Still, in the end, you and I are both human beings, with joys, defeats, sorrows, ideas, frustrations, fears and loves. So anyway, I guess we can just go from there.
