Jupiter in Psychological and Evolutionary Astrology

Signs, Houses, Aspects

Overview

Is there a downside to the planet of growth and prosperity? What does our natal Jupiter reveal about our psychological makeup or evolutionary path? What does it mean when Jupiter conjuncts Saturn or squares Venus in the birth chart? This book is an edited collection of articles published online by Tina Rahimi between 2017 and 2019 to methodically address these questions. The author explores Jupiter in the natal chart, drawing on her professional experience as an astrologer and her academic background in literature and philosophy. The book contains a complete description of Jupiter's signs, houses, and aspects in the natal chart: seven primary aspects (conjunction, square, opposition, quincunx, semi-sextile, trine, and sextile) between Jupiter and ten other planets (including Chiron) are discussed in detail.

A Handy & Concise Book on Jupiter (that's also interesting!) As a bona fide astrology text book collector of the past 30+ years, I've seen and read a LOT of astrology books. I really enjoyed this gem from Dr. Rahimi. True to her education, she seamlessly blends helpful reference material on Jupiter alongside the breathtaking poetry and writings of some of the world's greatest writers. The ebb and flow of this book is really something to behold...the switch from the more technical aspects of the Jupiter placements back to the more story-telling style and lovely quotes interspersed throughout...I'm just fascinated, TBH. I feel that this book is a must-have for any and all astrologers. It's a go-to when analyzing charts for clients and can help you lay your foundation for your own interpretations. It inspires and informs, entertains and even asks some really great questions. For the amazing price especially, don't miss out on this wonderful collection of writings by Dr. Rahimi. I promise you, you won't be disappointed! ~Kacee Leigh Connolly♐ •Astrologically Sound• Read more

Jupiter I found Tina's work whilst looking for material that covers the quincunx aspect. The quincunx is considered a minor aspect, i.e. not one of the five Ptolemaic aspects. Whether it's 'minor' is debatable though given that it's a key ingredient in the Yod aspect pattern. Fortunately, Tina's work covers both the quincunx as well as it's 'sister' aspect, the semi-sextile. In this volume I also appreciate greatly the first chapter which offers a comprehensive breakdown on the multiple facets of Jupiter, as well as the inclusion of Chiron (aspects made to Chiron). What I would appreciate in future editions would be an expansion of the aspects to include aspects to the angles and the nodal axis. It would also be helpful to have a section on the planet in its retrograde condition. Thanks for the great work you do, Tina. Looking forward to more. Read more
