Overview
Whether you are looking to obtain an IT Management position or already have a supervisor, manager or director role, the material in this book may assist in bringing your management skills to a higher level. From my experience with over forty six years in the business of IT, let me share some tips and techniques that can help accelerate your quest and pour a structured approach for success in your career journey. This material contains actual examples of the artifacts described across management communications, structured project management and the ability to integrate the business side into the technology talent you are or the management or technical layers reporting to you. I truly had an exciting and rewarding career in IT and was blessed with managing, working with and mentored by some extraordinary management and technical talent throughout the years, also described in this material. These tips and techniques shared in this material set me apart from my peers, since it was a marriage of management positions within various IT customer installations and several years as an IT Infrastructure & Operations consultant. Some of the techniques are basic and obvious but that assumes you are using some of it already. It's combining the material in the chapters that becomes extremely effective and sets you apart as a leader. Why just meet performance expectations, when you can easily exceed them?
