About the author

Dr. Magdeline Ramaboea is a South African business executive, philanthropist and a Founding Director of Triumphant Eagle International (Pty) Ltd., a business consulting company. She is also working for one of the state-owned companies in South Africa, and she has held various leadership and management roles within both public and private sector organisations. She has spent more than eighteen years in corporate business environments, both in the public and private sectors. Her area of interest within the business environments has always been about exploring ways in which corporations can be enabled to operate in a sustainable manner that considers the need to preserve the natural environment and enhance societal well-being. This has led her to extensively pursue academic research in integrated business sustainability through PhD in Accounting Sciences with the University of South Africa (Unisa).

Dr. Ramaboea’s focus was to research about global business practices that view the environment, society and the business world as inseparable. She developed a conceptual integrated model during her doctoral studies, employing the IIRC practices. The IIRC practices enable an integrated business thinking that considers all factors that influence a corporation’s ability to create sustainable value. The purpose of her book is to advocate, explain and demonstrate the strategic use of the IIRC’s practices as agents of internal change and sustainable value creator within business environments. Since the strategic use of these practices as agents of change is a developing phenomenon, business environments might lack knowledge about how to apply these practices. To close this gap, Dr. Ramaboea developed a conceptual integrated model during her doctoral studies, employing the IIRC practices. Her credentials provided her with extensive expertise to develop the above model, which is presented in her book. She is extremely qualified and skilled, and her credentials are globally recognised and are regarded in high esteem. She is also a registered member of several highly regarded professional institutions. Her qualifications include:

• Doctor of Philosophy in Accounting Sciences (PhD Fin Gov) • Master of Accounting Sciences (MCompt Acc) • Honours Bachelor of Commerce (BCom Hons) • Bachelor of Accounting Sciences (BCompt) • Global Postgraduate Qualification in Corporate Governance and Secretarial Practices (GradICSA) • Postgraduate Qualification in Business and Management: Management Advancement Programme (MAP) • National Diploma in Finance and Business Law.
