Dr. Magdeline Ramaboea is a Founding Director of Triumphant Eagle International (Pty) Ltd., a business consulting company. She is also working for one of the state-owned companies in South Africa (Armscor). She has held various leadership and management roles within both public and private sector organisations, possesses great insight into managing business corporations effectively and efficiently. She has spent more than eighteen years in corporate business environments, both in the public and private sectors. Her area of interest within the business environments has always been about exploring ways in which corporations can be enabled to operate in a sustainable manner that considers the need to preserve the natural environment and enhance societal well-being.

She took a specific interest to research about international best business practices that enable corporations to operate sustainably, indicating a manner that does not compromise the ability of the future generation to exist and meet their needs. Her interest was encouraged by various corporate failures, issues of global warming and financial crises. During her doctoral studies Dr. Ramaboea finds that these above-mentioned unfortunate events led to the formation of the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) and the development of integrated reporting practices. The IIRC practices are broadly known to have the ability to enable an integrated business thinking that considers all factors that influence a corporation’s ability to create sustainable value. This insight led Dr. Ramaboea to extensively pursue academic research on these practices. Her research included principles of sound business sustainability through PhD in Accounting Sciences with the University of South Africa (Unisa). Her study developed an integrated conceptual model titled “Integrated Model for Internal Change and Value Creation for the Defence Evaluation and Research Institutions (DERIs)”. The model was based on the IIRC integrated reporting practices.

Additionally, Dr. Ramaboea wrote a book titled “Integrated Model for Sound Internal Functioning and Sustainable Value Creation: A Solution for Corporate Environments Post Covid-19”. The purpose of her book is to advocate, explain and demonstrate the strategic use of the IIRC’s practices as agents of internal change and sustainable value creator within business environments. The book comprehensively covers factors that influence corporation’s ability to create sustainable value. These includes ethical leadership, the process of enacting sound internal functioning and good governance practices within business practices. Dr. Ramaboea is extremely qualified and skilled, and her credentials are globally recognised and are regarded in high esteem. She is also a registered member of several highly regarded professional institutions. These include the Chartered Institute of Business Management (CIBM), Southern African Institute for Business Accountants (SAIBA), South African Institute for Professional Accountants (SAIPA), Centre of Tax Excellence (CoTE), Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (CSSA) Southern Africa.

She has obtained several distinctions in various subjects across her qualifications. Globally recognised as a member of Chief Finance Officers (CFOs) in South Africa, she is a: • Global Finance Executive CFO (SA) SAIBA • Professional Accountant (SA) SAIPA, she is also certified as a Professional Tax Practitioner (SA) CoTE.

Dr. Ramaboea further accomplished an • Internationally recognised Postgraduate Qualification (GradICSA) in Corporate Governance and Secretarial Practices (CSSA) in partnership with Rissik Business School. She is the graduate of this highly esteemed institute for Governance Professionals. CSSA Board Exam subjects included Corporate governance, Corporate administration (where she obtained a distinction), Corporate financial management and Corporate secretaryship. She was awarded the Southern Africa • top three best candidate in Corporate administration at the 2018 CCSA graduation ceremony. Additionally, she is certified and admitted as a global Chartered Secretary and Governance Professional (FCIS), she is a fellow member which is the highest and most prestigious level of the CSSA membership.

Dr. Ramaboea Business Management and Leadership credentials include: • a Postgraduate Qualification in Business: Management Advancement Programme (MAP) from Wits Business School (WBS). She obtained distinctions in Marketing and Finance, and further received top syndicate awards for the overall best performing projects, along with each of her syndicate group members at the 2016 MAP graduation ceremony. She further attained several Certificates in: • Advanced Pastel (Integrated Financial System Package ERP) from Wits/University of Johannesburg • Contract Management from the Enterprise University of Pretoria as well as certificate in Directors Fiduciary Duties.
