Overview
Starting with Japanese war atrocities committed in China prior to the beginning of WW2, the story moves to a small island off the cost of Papua New Guinea. Circumstances would bring three very different individuals, a Japanese Captain, an American pilot and a seventeen year old headhunter together all with one single minded goal: VENGEANCE! To that end, all three would go on to their own individual journeys, with the headhunter's lasting over 60 years and ending at the very gates of hell itself and beyond. In contrast, the storyteller, a black American doctor, his wife and youngest son would all embark on their own journeys of selfless service to others that would one day end on a battlefield in Afghanistan.
