Overview
As difficult as times have become, we can find lasting peace in God who loves and cares for us. He Holds Us Up on Sidewalk Cracks: Poems of God's Presence in Unprecedented Times is a book of poems reflective of those painful moments that creep, more often, barge into our lives. We can be victorious. We can find contentment. We can move beyond the imperfections and brokenness in our paths as we rely on our perfect God who sees us, guides us, and holds us up when we slip.
Description
He Holds Us Up on Sidewalk Cracks: Poems of God's Presence in Unprecedented Times is a book of poetry reflective of the era we may find ourselves moving, at times, gingerly through. This collection of poetry points out current social views, world scenarios, and individual struggles to bring to light God's loving preservation. These present-day occurrences ask us to consider God's unfailing mercy and sovereignty and to accept the peace He offers even in disturbing times. Snapshots of raw or painful experiences highlight God's grace and constant presence. Readers, at any stage of life, can find comfort and hope beyond the cracks and crevices they may step over, teeter atop, or inadvertently trip on.
About the author
Charity's talent for storytelling was among the first signs of her blossoming skill as a writer. Her writings are charged with both realism, and empathy. These traits compliment her ability to impact audiences. With nearly 20 years as an educator, Charity strives to nurture, support, and inspire children to aspire, explore, and dream. She holds a master's degree in Education and is passionate about motivating students to envision greatness in themselves and in their classmates. She is relentless in her pursuit to bring out the very best in each and every student. Although she has experienced many of the pitfalls, we all encounter in our lives, she maintains high standards, and wholeheartedly believes that every child has the ability to succeed, and that every family deserves encouragement and supportive resources. With these principles in mind, her goal is to work to bridge even the most challenging gaps. Growing up in the church, Charity knows what it means to trust God and she attributes all of her success to knowing and believing Him, especially during stressful and trying times.
