About the author
Delroy O. Walker, born and raised in Jamaica migrated to the United States where he graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has worked for many companies globally in several capacities ranging from the designer of semiconductors manufacturing equipment to management. His entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to help others led him to also venture into financial planning and the renewable energy business.
In Delroy's many travels, the one thing that stood out was the amazing, brilliant children with wonderful potential, who were denied their opportunities to realize their dreams because of the "Hawks" that plague their lives (poverty, lack of adequate parenting, and/or supervision, teachers that give them harmful labels, inappropriate friends, and drugs).
Delroy states "My purpose in this season of my life is to work diligently, in any possible capacity to effectuate change in as many lives as I can; to create a brighter, better, safer, happier environment for children so that they can thrive."
