Description
This is a practical guide to proposals writing organized around Eight Lessons-Learned by a highly successful grantmaker over a twenty years period. It is written for both novices and veterans. Novices will learn how to take a vague notion of something they want to do and turn it into a proposal. Veterans will learn how to improve their proposals while increasing the odds of receiving funding and the chances that the resulting programs will be strong and manageable. Purchase includes access to online tools that help clarify ideas and pull together the information needed to write proposals that the funder and the reviewer will appreciate and that also serve as blueprints for the implementation of strong programs that are built to last.
About the author
Steve Brandick is an educator who started writing grants in 1993 as a complete novice with no background, training or experience in the field. He has become a highly successful grantmaker with numerous strong programs and millions of dollars of funding to his credit. He has also become a respected grant reviewer who has helped numerous government agencies determine which grant proposals are funded. Along the way, he has learned how to take ideas and turn them into strong proposals. These proposals are written with both the grant reviewer and the potential program director in mind. For that reason, they are fundable and manageable. The funder and the reviewer will appreciate them and the director will be able to use them as blueprints for the implementation of strong programs built to last.
