Grandma's Tale

Roy and his four daughters come and visit his Grandpa and Grandma Jessup at their lake house. During the visit Grandma Jessup tells her Great Granddaughter Madeline a story about her Father Roy when he was a boy when he went on a fishing trip with Grandpa Jessup and his Mother. Madeline comes to understand the relationship between her Father and Grandpa Jessup through the telling of the tale. The reader begins to understand the relationship between Grandma and Grandpa Jessup by the end of the story.

This is a tale of narcissism and how people react to it. As Grandpa Jessup Grandpa Jessup's Tale unfolds, Grandpa Jessup continues to fish, ignoring everyone else's feelings and his own surroundings. This is the story about how Grandpa Jessup's family deals with his actions and the family dynamics that go along with it.
