Overview
Physical healing, emotional healing, relationship healing, joyful prayer, joyful song, great enthusiasm for the Lord! You will find all these elements inside this little book as you walk with Kay Gates through the years of her service to God's people. You will learn that Kay's ministry and her work have been blessed by the Pope, Cardinals, Bishops, and priests as she administers the healing Hug of Jesus to all who come to her. With no knowledge of the languages of the Filipino people, Kay obediently traveled to the Philippines. There she was met with open arms. There she established her first ministry team. There she embraced thousands with the love of Christ. This little book is a story of the joy and love that emanates from Kay's heart as she shares Christ's love in a holy embrace. Learn about the healing power of the Jesus Hug.
Description
Who is Kay Gates? Why do people call her Mom Kay? What is her special gift? What happened that encouraged her to embrace children and adults with the Arms of Jesus? Where does she get her strength for long-distance travel, for hours of counseling and ministry, for the embrace and prayers with which she blesses people in churches, homes, backyards, airports, and everywhere that people encounter her in their search for love and healing? Who guided her throughout her years of ministry? All of these questions are answered in the pages of "God Is Alive!". You cannot read this book and come away untouched. You cannot but become curious to meet this person who claims to convey the healing love of our God through an action as simple as an embrace. Over the decades, the Arms of Jesus have changed lives for the better. Thousands will testify to this fact. Cardinals, priests, deacons, and holy people everywhere, especially those whose lives have been changed by the Jesus Hug will tell you that the deaf hear, that the lame walk, that the mute speak, that crippling hurt has been resolved and healed, that relationships broken by sin have been healed and rebuilt, that fears have been dispelled, that thousands have returned to the Lord, that churches are filled with joyful songs of praise. God is Alive! Read it in the testimonies. Trust it in the healing. See it as you read this remarkable story of service. Yes, God is alive!
About the author
Kay Gates, or Sister Kay and Mom Kay as we know her, is a resident of Virginia in the United States. She is the mother of two young men and a grandmother. Kay has been physically challenged most of her life and to the surprise of many she ministers from a wheelchair. Kay was called into ministry in the 80s and has dedicated her life to spreading the Good News and the healing love of Christ. She is blessed with good health and has ministered as far west as Manila, Cebu, and Lucena in the Philippines and as far east as Rome and throughout the United States. Early in her calling, God told Kay to embrace those who came to her and to use her arms to convey the love and compassion of Jesus. This Jesus Hug causes fears and barriers to fall as people surrender to the love of Jesus. Many thousands have witnessed the changes, both physical and emotional, that occur when people surrender their fears to the Jesus Hug. Many souls have returned to the Church after praying with Kay as she lovingly directs them to kneel before the Tabernacle and give thanks, then to the Sacrament of Reconciliation in repentance, and finally to the Holy Eucharist in joy and thanksgiving. Kay has authored numerous books detailing her call to service, proclaiming the healing love of Jesus, and helping us all to better understand the life God has called us to live. She nurtures communities of followers in Virginia, Arizona, and the Philippines. In turn, those same communities nurture her and bless her work. Kay is truly a servant of God.
