Friends for Shore

With the seventh edition of "The Adventures of Shoo Shoo and Teakettle," follow along as Shoo Shoo and Teakettle go on an adventure to the beach! Shoo Shoo the little squirrel and Teakettle the tiny wren decide to sneak into Jack and Lucy's grandparents' van when it was time to take a trip to the shore. When they arrive, the two curious creatures are amazed to see just how much sand and water there is. On their own, they explore their surroundings and meet a couple of new friends—a hermit crab who gives them a friendly welcome to his seaside home and a seagull who offers them a yummy snack. Their adventures tire them out, leaving them thirsty with nothing but the ocean to quench their thirst, however they soon discover that ocean water is too salty to drink and have to find a cleaner source. Upon finding a clean bottle of water, Shoo Shoo and Teakettle discover how tired their adventures have made them and decide to take a nap on a nearby boogie board. As they sleep, a wave takes them out to sea, where a friendly dolphin finds them and leads them back to shore, where they are able to reunite with their people and head back to their home. When they are safely back in their tree, Shoo Shoo and Teakettle recall the highlights of their adventures. They met several new friends and learned two valuable lessons—ocean water is too salty to drink, and it is also important to swim near a lifeguard.
