About the author

David Heflin, a lifelong educator and business leader, discovered a love for writing during completion of his dissertation for a doctoral degree. David has completed a food book and a travel narrative describing a cross-country bicycle adventure.

He is currently working on a mystery thriller novel that tells the story of a priest who falls in love and turns to dark forces to revenge his lover's brutal murder. What the priest discovers on his dark journey challenges his understanding of justice and mercy and forces him to question his very identity.

David lives in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota with his wife, daughter, and one-eyed spaniel.
