Description
Drawing on firsthand accounts, Four Men in Blue relates the experiences of the author's four Civil War ancestors. All Union volunteers, they included the son of a leading local family, a schoolteacher, a devout Christian, and a first-generation American. Three were sons of Pittsburgh and one of Reynoldsburg, Ohio. They served in the cavalry and infantry, aboard a river gunboat, and were witness to America's greatest conflict.
