A non-partisan duty bound career in law enforcement that culminated when I retired from the long blue line of US Marshals, our nation's oldest law enforcement agency. A memoir about a "A Career like No Other" that covers growing up as an Army-Brat who attended 17 schools, military training during the Vietnam era, joining the Metropolitan police in Washington DC, followed by being recruited by the US Marshals and my duties in Special Operations and the Federal Witness Protection Program.

The US Marshals Service is Bureau of the United States Department of Justice. The Director is officed in Crystal City across the Potomac River from Washington DC. Each of the 94 federal judicial districts have a gold star temporary patronage US Marshals appointed by the president. The Northern District of Texas alone includes 100 counties. The Deputy US Marshals, Supervisors and Chiefs are the career professional agents (Silver Stars) recruited, vetted, and trained by the service. The US Marshals that help tame the old wild west still roam every state in the nation y'all and remain the best at what they do. * In my career I tracked down and arrested several hundred dangerous fugitives. * Last year the US Marshals arrested 84,247 fugitives nationwide. *10,500 were sex offenders. * 6,119 were murder suspects. * Over 6,000 were all violent gang members. * 1,239 were Interpol fugitives

After 33 years of government service, I retired in 2002 and successfully transitioned from supervising federal agents and others in a classified national security program to private enterprise by investing in, operating, and selling small businesses.
