Overview

This overview is a condensed version of the full description below.
On April 12, 1981, a major celestial event occurred in the United States of America, which was described by numerous news sources as a spectacular aurora borealis. This event was witnessed by many people across the United States, from east to west as well as north and south. It was viewed by meteorologists and other experts as highly unusual as aurora borealis generally do not occur in this manner. Many who witnessed this illumination of the skies, thought that mountains and other areas were on fire, and people lit up switchboards in numerous places, calling the police and fire stations to report the event. In this ground-breaking work , author Tom Doyle discusses this heavenly fire in the United States, as well as other incredible events in relation to the ongoing apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Medjugorje, a town in southwestern Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is in former Yugoslavia. The author discusses the fact that just about one month after the phenomenal heavenly event in the United States in April 1981, Pope John Paul II, now St. John Paul II, was shot by an assassin on the feast day of Our Lady of Fatima, May 13, 1981. The bullets that hit the Holy Father miraculously missed his major organs and arteries, and he attributed the saving of his life to the prayers and intercession of Our Lady of Fatima. Just a little over one month after this event, and no doubt due to the Holy Father's prayers and intercession and pleas to Our Lady, on June 24, 1981, Our Lady first appeared to several young people in Medjugorje as the "Queen of Peace." The author discusses these and other events and ties them together with a historical perspective, providing evidence of the intricate relationship between the events at Fatima and Medjugorje.

Description
On April 12, 1981, a major celestial event occurred in the United States of America, which was described by numerous news sources as a spectacular aurora borealis. This event was witnessed by many people across the United States, from east to west as well as north and south. It was viewed by meteorologists and other experts as highly unusual as aurora borealis generally do not occur in this manner. Many who witnessed this illumination of the skies, thought that mountains and other areas were on fire, and people lit up switchboards in numerous places, calling the police and fire stations to report the event. In this ground-breaking work, author Tom Doyle discusses this heavenly fire in the United States, as well as other incredible events in relation to the ongoing apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Medjugorje, a town in southwestern Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is in former Yugoslavia. Just a little over one month after this event, and no doubt due to the Holy Father's prayers and intercession and pleas to Our Lady, on June 24, 1981, Our Lady first appeared to several young people in Medjugorje as the "Queen of Peace." The first day of the Medjugorje apparitions occurred on the Catholic liturgical feast day of St. John the Baptist. The reader is reminded that it was John that said of Jesus in Matthew 3:11 "I baptize you with water for repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry; he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire." Our Lady Queen of Peace came with a message in Medjugorje much like John's, saying that she was sent to tell us that God exists, and to call us all to conversion, reconciliation, fasting, prayer and peace. The author discusses these and other events and ties them together with a historical perspective, providing evidence of the intricate relationship between the events at Fatima and Medjugorje. He also discusses his own experiences, describing graces and other miraculous occurrences he encountered emanating from Our Lady Queen of Peace in Medjugorje. Additionally, he examines a similar aurora borealis/heavenly phenomenon that occurred throughout Europe in January of 1938, related to the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima. Finally, the author discusses in detail the great mercy and love of God for His children, and the tremendous graces that have been experienced and that are still available to all, through these ongoing apparitions of Our Lady Queen of Peace in Medjugorje.
About the author
Tom Doyle is a Catholic Christian author who lives in the Dallas, Texas area, and who was born in Omaha, Nebraska. His work "Fire on the Mountain - Mysteries, Signs and Prophetic Elements of Medjugorje and of Our Lady Queen of Peace", presents new insights into the ongoing apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Medjugorje, a town in southwestern Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is in former Yugoslavia. Mr. Doyle also has been involved in the music ministry, and has recorded two CD's, "I Will Extol You my God and King" and "Lord You are Holy". He has performed selections from these recordings on the Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN), on that network's prior series "Backstage", and also in Catholic conferences. The author also has been a long-time follower of St. Francis of Assisi. He loves the story of St. Francis and his followers, who embraced "Lady Poverty" to follow completely the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through his radical abandonment to Christ, St. Francis helped to rebuild and restore the Church in the thirteenth century. There are millions of Franciscans today in the various religious orders who follow the rule of life of St. Francis. Tom has been a member of the Secular Franciscan Order (OFS) since 1989. This group attempts to bring the Gospel to life in where they work and live, following a rule and guidance from St. Francis.
