When Paul Whitmire’s religious grandfather dies, he and his husband Silvio hope for a quiet return to and a quick exit from Bennett, Mississippi, but there's much more to it than he'd ever imagined. 

Born and raised in Bennett, Paul discovers that his grandfather was not everything he seemed – and that the family's secrets are far more serious than a gay grandson. Faced with decisions about their future and the family, Paul and Silvio find themselves maneuvering a delicate web of cover-ups, a family business, and old-South prejudices, not to mention the world of difference between their life in Miami Beach and the prospect of life in Bennett.

Chris Amisano is an author, adjunct professor, and management / leadership development professional – and has been writing since he could hold a pencil. He has a BA from the University of Memphis, an MBA from Bellevue University, and a DBA from Walden University. His first novel, An Imperfect Arrangement, was published in 2007, and his academic work has appeared in the Journal of Leadership, Ethics, and Accountability. Chris is CEO and Editor-In-Chief of DivaD Publishing.
