Fairy Tale Quilts

Fairy tales have been used as an inspiration for quilts, patterns and fabric over the years. This book introduces a quilt based fairy tale to the reader and at the same time presents different quilt patterns and techniques. After you read" The Princess and the quilts" and make the quilts, you can act out the fairy tale. Janneke is the name on my quilt label. I was born in the Netherlands, a typical Dutch crafty child. I always wanted to become a teacher and I graduated with a teaching degree in textile arts and drawing. After only a few years of teaching I moved to England with my Dutch husband and took sewing classes to make new friends. This love for sewing grew into quilting once we moved to the USA. Never able to rid the teacher in me , I love to teach quilting to people all ages and express themselves through art. I am always on the lookout to try new techniques and ways of making joyful pieces of fabric art.
