About the author

WM Phillips is a new author, wife and mom to an amazing autistic son. After getting her BA from UCLA she went on to get her Masters in Social Work at SDSU. She worked with abused and neglected children as a county social worker, as an advocate for children in the courts, directed a shelter for runaway and homeless youth and currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for a school for autistic children. Working with, and on behalf of children has always been her passion. When her own son was in preschool, she saw signs that he was not keeping up with his peers verbally or developmentally. It was 1998 and not much was known about Aspergers. She has spent the last 18 years on a personal journey to support her son, and others like him, as they navigate the often turbulent waters of Autism. Her philosophy is with hope, humor and love anything is possible. WM Phillips grew up in Southern California, where she still resides with her husband, son and mini Labradoodle. In her spare time she loves to travel.
