Overview
EARTH GODDESS...A magical journey through our connection to nature and all existence. These beautiful photographs and poems are sure to touch your heart and soul. A compilation of over 30 stunning images of beautiful Earth Goddesses accompanied by awe inspired poetry.
Description
Heather worked for over a year photographing her beautiful friends, intuitively adorning them with natural elements, thus honoring their beauty inside and out! Her then one year old daughter, Juniper, took immediate interest in the project and turned out to be her mother's most ardent assistant. She often added her sweet personal touches to a photoshoot with flowers, and leaves, and even mimicked her mom's layouts while decorating and playing with her dolls in the family garden. Heather perceives Women as symbols of Earth itself, propagating and nurturing all life, loving unconditionally and asking nothing in return. Her book Earth Goddess is a collection of over thirty Goddess images- babies, young women, mothers and grandmothers- women who care passionately for the natural world, and the concept of nature-based community. Their lives and work are emblematic of their commitment to the well-being of the planet. Grateful for the opportunity to honor these Women and Goddesses, Heather complements her stunning images with her deeply inspired sacred poetry.
About the author
Heather Reynolds is a photographer, poet, artist, ashtanga yoga instructor, massage therapist, and mother of three beautiful children. She lives in the sacred Appalachian Mountains of Virginia, where she spends most of her days exploring the surrounding forests and waterfalls with her children and friends. Her inspiration for this book comes from a deep love and passion for Nature, that which is experienced within and around us. She believes our own reflections, our true Selves, are revealed in all of Life. Through her words and images, Heather penetrates the nuances of life with awe, reverence and a recognition of the Unity running through all Creation. Thus this book was created to honor all Goddesses, our beloved Mother Earth and our inseparable connection to Universal Existence.
